Product Description

The Toyo Proxes TQ is a competition and performance tire. It is ideal for drag racing enthusiasts looking for a top-class performance on the track but without sacrificing street functionality. It is created for muscle cars, street machines, and high-horsepower cars and performs best on dry surfaces, offering excellent grip and straight-line driving skills.
The Proxes TQ features a drag radial tread compound that maximizes grip at launch. The tire's asymmetric tread design features two areas that are different from each other. Toyo Proxes is almost slick on the inboard section to ensure more traction. Toyo Tires attached a variable pitch on the outboard area in Proxes TQ to reduce the sound produced during street drives. The Proxes TQ has a unique drag-race radial casing and twin high-tensile steel belts. The tire's spiral-wrapped jointless cap and edge plies maintain a contact patch throughout the run. Toyo Proxes is available in 16, 17, and 18-inch sizes and is a DOT-approved runway tread.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Proxes TQ tire slightly reduces noise with its variable pitch outside area. Thus, while the tire can be quieter than those built for racing, it may still be noisier than the ordinary passenger tire due to its construction.

Toyo Proxes TQ tires are among the best in the drag racing world. They offer incredible grip, straight-line abilities, and high-speed stability. They are also among the best models for track days and weekend enthusiasts.
