The Eagle Exhilarate features an asymmetric tread with a five rib pattern for consistent all season performance and grip. The tread pattern is furnished with sipes that help provide rubber to road contact in intense winter conditions. The tread compound is composed of a high silica content with lateral notches that improve controllability on slippery roads. Goodyear's ActiveGrip Technology allows balanced pressure dispersion through the tire's contact patch in order to increase road contact during braking. This feature also improves handling and braking traction ion wet and dry roads. Circumferential grooves expel liquids from the contact patch to minimize hydroplaning risks and further increase wet traction. This tire features wear gauge indicators in eight different positions that allow drivers to gauge tire wear and vehicle alignment. The Eagle Exhilarate is reinforced with a two ply cord and polyamide plies that enhance acceleration performance.
